McCotter Rocks The Tea-Bagging World.

Well first of all, let me apologize for my long absence from the blogging world. Without getting into too much detail about my absence, let me just say that there have been some internet access problems. However that has been recently corrected. Therefore, there shouldn’t be any more periods of silence on my part. Now with this said, let me address the point of this point…the ridiculousness of Rep. Thaddeus McCotter’s new website; McCotter Rocks.

This mind numbing page reveals the absolute stupidity of Rep. Thaddeus McCotter and the McCotter campaign as a whole. The site contains various themes, one of which is this “We The People” bullshit which is just another guise of the infamous Tea Baggers insanity, the theme of McCotter’s campaign.

My favorite aspect of this new site comes under the campaign news section with a link to a post titled, “Educated Idiots Vol 1 No. 4”. In this post, the author contends by association that anyone who is educated is thus an idiot. This only reveals that Thaddeus McCotter and Republicans in general wish for America to be nothing but a bunch of gun-slinging cowboys (like our former President) so that we would be dumb enough to believe their nonsense. The want us to be a violent culture so that they can continue to promote a war-mongering mentality and a sadistic intelligence gathering system labeled as “enhanced interrogation”. Any person with a minuscule amount of intelligence would understand what "enhanced interrogation" translates to and that is torture. However now I digress.

The point of this post is to highlight the fact that Fidel Castro praised President Obama for passing health care legislation that brings health care to millions of Americans. I have a problem with this for two reasons. The first is that Rep. McCotter is using this idea that health care is a privilege and not a right. By doing this, he is creating a political tool created out of fear and ignorance to bolster his own standing by creating an illusion that people will be paying for other people’s health care when in fact they will not be.  My second problem with this post is that it attempts to link President Obama with Fidel Castro and to advance this ill-conceived idea that President Obama is a “Socialist” and that seems very McCarthistic to me.

So with all this said, it’s time for a little history lesson. First of all, nothing about the health care bill that was just passed recently is “socialistic” by any means. The federal government is not paying for the health care of everyone, nor are the doctors who provide health care services employed by the government. With regards to Cuba and its depressed economy, this is not the result of government paid health care and education but the direct result of America’s trade embargo because of the irrational fear perpetuated by conservative over communism. See Conservatives fear anything political/economic system other than capitalism because that takes power away from the wealthy and gives it to the non-wealthy. The result of doing so would reduce the top 1% and the power they hold and promote that power in the lower classes.

Now the last thing I have to say about this whole scenario is simply one of blatant hypocrisy. First of all, most American’s do not have a single problem with government programs. They love the military, social security, Medicare, libraries, the police/fire departments, schools, and the interstate highway system. Thus if you want to “eliminate” socialism from America, take away all of these things and then see where America will be. America will not lead the world in any aspect then. Eliminate these programs and the American dream sought by millions of people around the world will die and thus we see McCotter’s real agenda, to kill the American Dream and create a corporate dictatorship where American’s will have no power in terms of making any laws. “We The People” is a farce. In reality McCotter is only “We The Millionaires”.
