“Daddy needs a new Cadillac!” That was the message (of course not with those words) that Rick Warren used to get 2.4 million dollars in donations. In all actuality, Rick Warren told his audience that the church was going to go bankrupt because of the amount of money the church was spending on the community due to the recession (not to mention the financial support given to political causes like Proposition 8).
This is utterly despicable. This bigot spends his church’s money on passing a law bent on discriminating against the LGBT community and then obtains a bailout from his followers while claiming that the financial trouble Rick Warren got his church into was due to the recession. This man is a liar, a hypocrite and a tyrant against humanity.
