These Americans are the ones who say that they are full of “fat pride.” Yes, they are full of clogged arteries, extreme amounts of cellulite, and loads of “cushin for the pushin” that they lust for and masturbate to on a nightly basis.
Now I am all for personal freedom, even when it comes to one’s weight. However to apply the concept of pride in the way one would apply it to racial pride, religious pride, or even gay pride, is rather ridiculous. America should not be giving a gold star to everyone for having an extra chin…or three.
In the article titled, Heavier Americans Push Back on Health Debate, Peggy Howell, of the National Association to Promote Fat Acceptance (that’s right they even have their own equivalent to the NAACP or HRC) said that, “We believe that fat people can eat healthy food and add movement to their lives and be healthy. And healthy should be the goal, not thin.”
Here is the problem I have with that statement. Eat healthy food means eating fruits, veggies, and grains, in the appropriate portions. Adding movement to one’s life means exercising. This is the same message that the CDC repeatedly says only with words that fat people do not like, “eat healthy and exercise.” Now what will happen if fat people take up these actions? They will lose weight and become thinner. This whole concept of fat pride is rather ridiculous and that is all I am going to say on the matter.
